Professional Qualifications
Kalen Karnowski specializes in providing audit and accounting services to clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturers, professional service firms, construction contractors, and nonprofit organizations, with a focus surrounding mergers and acquisition. Kalen works extensively with both complex equity structured businesses and closely-held businesses with strategic planning, management consulting, financial reporting systems, and tax and accounting services, as well as performing evaluation and due diligence services and reporting needs for potential target acquisitions. Kalen also works closely with businesses that are implementing, or have implemented employee stock ownership plans (ESOP) at both a corporate level and a plan level.
Kalen also specializes in ERISA full scope and limited scope audits of employee benefit plans of privately held businesses, including ESOPs. In addition to providing client services, Kalen is actively involved in the development and training of MMKR personnel.
Kalen graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from St. Cloud State University. Kalen receives annual training in his areas of expertise to maintain and enhance his knowledge base in an ever changing business and tax environment.
